Vaccine for Varicella

People affected with Varicella once in their life time will develop immunity against the virus and the virus cannot affect the same person again. This disease affects almost ninety percentages of the people before they reach adulthood. Chicken pox is comparatively less severe than smallpox since smallpox can sometimes lead to even death in extreme cases. Chickenpox is caused by virus named Varicella -zoster. Study about baby vaccines reveals that vaccines have been generated and have proved to be effective. Children who were administered this vaccine were found immune to this disease. Yet the power of this vaccine is not yet proved to be lasting throughout their life.
Once the vaccine for chickenpox is administered, people mainly develop antibodies in their bodies. Antibodies are the protective shield against the disease causing organisms. Research about baby vaccines implies that the vaccine for Varicella is obtained from selected strains of the same virus. The viruses once weakened lose their ability to affect the target person and in turn help in destroying active and strong Varicella viruses. If people who are administered with the vaccine get chickenpox, it will be milder enough so that the person can get rid of it as soon as possible. Chickenpox also result in body pain, the throat turns sore and rashes that are red or deep red depending on the severity of the disease causing irritation on the skin.
