Vaccine for Rota Caused Diseases

At the early 1970’s the disease was so deadly that it almost took thousands and thousands with them. The account of deaths throughout the world per year is about 500,000 which are very massive in number. Compared to the death cases the number of hospitalized kids is about 2 million every year. Scientists found it difficult to control the spread of this viral disease. This virus usually affects children at the age of 4-5. Adults are mostly immune to this virus. Almost all new born kids will be affected at least once before 5 years. Rota virus is of different types. Rota A, B, C, D, E, F. But Rota A virus is the main cause for nearly 90 percent of the Rota caused diseases. Presently the vaccine was licensed at the United States. Then after finding out the vaccine for the Rota viruses, the United States decided to launch a program to bring awareness among the people about the vaccine. For that they along with the World Health Organization conducted a program for the vaccine recognition. This program was actually funded by the GAVI Alliance along with public health organizations to make this vaccine reachable for children worldwide.
