Mumps is highly contagious since it can spread from person to person through the saliva of the infected person. Rarely, mumps may also cause deafness and this is seen mostly in children. Measles which is also highly contagious is also caused by viruses. Measles mainly cause red spots on the skin’s surface and will be accompanied by fever. But this severity of the marks and fever will last hardly for two to three days. Rubella is the viral disease that mainly affects children. The child even when it is in the mother’s womb, as the possibility of catching this disease if the mother is affected by this virus. Study about baby vaccines reveals that MMR vaccine can control the above mentioned diseases.
MMR vaccines are generally administered for children in order to prevent the children from getting attacked by this virus. Although the above mentioned three diseases cause rashes in the skin and other disorders such as blurred vision and irritation in the skin, research about baby vaccines informs that the ill effects of these three diseases namely mumps, measles, rubella can be avoided by using vaccines at the right time. But these viruses sometimes can also be fatal because once they affect the brain directly it can also lead to death of the person. One disadvantage of this vaccine is that if the mother is administered MMR vaccine but never suffered these diseases in her life, there is no assurance that her child will be immune against these diseases.
