Who Says Pregnant Women Cannot Be Fashionable?
29th March 2010 by Babies No CommentsSome women can be a bit hesitant to stay fashionable when they get pregnant. They feel fat, heavy and generally ugly, making them more self-conscious and a bit depressed about how they look. However, it does not have to be that way as there are a lot of ways to stay stylish even when you have got a baby on the way. Looking good and feeling good will help you feel confident about yourself, and would generally help you anticipate your pregnancy even more.
For those who love to wear jeans or dresses, a simple pair of brown boots can definitely take your outfit to the next level. It does not have to be black all the time as black is too basic already, while brown still looks classic but can accent your legs and your outfit. You do not have to wear flats all the time - boots can definitely make you feel more powerful and beautiful.
Choose a pair of boots which feels comfortable - something which are not too high, but not too low either. You can go for wedges because it gives you a better balance when walking, and you would definitely need it when your weight is constantly increasing. This pair would surely amp up your dresses, and make you feel more confident all over.
And whoever said that skinny jeans cannot be worn by pregnant women? You wouldn’t want to be wearing track pants or loose jogging pants all the time, would you? The key to wearing these kinds of jeans would be to find something that best fits you. There are some jeans of this style which are especially made for pregnant women.
Tight jeans is a definite no-no when you’re waiting for your baby. Find something which hugs your thighs and legs comfortably, and would preferably stretch over time - especially around the stomach area. There are some jeans with added nylon or lycra, allowing the denim material to be more stretchy than it should be.
Generally, maternity wear might sound plain for most people, so it is up to you to keep your outfits looking good. After all, you wouldn’t want to look like a fat pregnant woman, do you?
Being a mom does not mean you have to forget about yourself and your fashion sense. It opens up a new world of style for you, and it’s up to you to use it to stay in style and still be confident.
